30,000 Metalheads Expected At Today's OZZFEST

August 9, 2008

Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas's CBS11TV.com reports: About 30,000 metalheads are expected at Ozzfest, and from the looks of the black-clad, tattooed crowd, the show will easily reach that mark.

Sweaty, sunburned, and bruised from the moshpit, throngs of headbangers are crowding into Pizza Hut Park in Frisco.

Fans were sprayed down by big water hoses to cool them down while others were treated for heat-related illnesses.

Organizers said they are trying to keep the crowd cool and help them enjoy the festival. Saturday's high reached 104 degrees.
